AFCAT 01/2027 Batch Recruitment 2026 Online Application

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a brief notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 01/2027 Batch, which corresponds to the January 2028 Course. Application Fee

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee. However, candidates applying through the NCC Special Entry and Meteorology Entry are exempt from the fee.

Vacancy Details

A total of 379 posts are to be filled under the AFCAT 01/2027 Batch recruitment. For the NCC Special Entry (Flying), 10% of the seats from CDSE vacancies are reserved for Permanent Commission (PC), and 10% of the seats from AFCAT vacancies are reserved for Short Service Commission (SSC).

Eligibility

Candidates must meet the specified age and educational qualifications as of January 01, 2028.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2028):

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 26 Years
  • For Flying Batch: 20-24 Years
  • For Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): 20-26 Years

Educational Qualification & Physical Standards:

• Flying Branch: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, or a B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognized university.
• Ground Duty Technical (Aeronautical Engineering - Electronics): 10+2 (Intermediate) with at least 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics, and a minimum 4-year Graduation or Integrated Postgraduate Degree in Engineering or Technology.
• Ground Duty Technical (Aeronautical Engineering - Mechanical): 10+2 (Intermediate) with at least 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics, and a 4-year Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Ground Duty Non-Technical (Administration & Logistics): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Physical Eligibility: Male candidates must have a minimum height of 157.5 cm, and female candidates a minimum of 152 cm.
• Ground Duty Non-Technical (Accounts): Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Physical Eligibility: Male candidates must have a minimum height of 157.5 cm, and female candidates a minimum of 152 cm.
• Ground Duty Non-Technical (Education): MBA, MCA, MA, or M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Physical Eligibility: Male candidates must have a minimum height of 157.5 cm, and female candidates a minimum of 152 cm.
• Meteorology Entry: Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• NCC Special Entry (Flying): NCC Air Wing Senior Division “C” Certificate, along with other qualifications as per the Flying Branch eligibility criteria.
