The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Sr. Resident/ Tutor Phase-III positions for the year 2026. Eligibility

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2026):

• Minimum Age: Not Specified
• Maximum Age (General/EWS Male): 37 Years
• Maximum Age (General/EWS Female): 40 Years
• Maximum Age (BC/EBC Male & Female): 40 Years
• Maximum Age (SC/ST Male & Female): 42 Years

Age relaxation will be provided as per BCECEB regulations.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must hold a Postgraduate (PG) Degree in the relevant medical specialty. Those with DNB/DNB Super Specialty and equivalent PG qualifications recognized by MCI/NMC guidelines are also eligible. If there is an insufficient number of PG degree holders, candidates possessing a relevant Diploma may be considered; however, their merit position will be below those with PG degrees.

Reservation for Senior Resident/Tutor Posts:

• 40% of seats are reserved for candidates from the Bihar State Health Service cadre.
• Another 40% are reserved for doctors who completed their PG under the residency scheme in Bihar medical colleges.
• The remaining 20% are for doctors holding PG degrees from recognized institutions outside Bihar.
