Eligibility

Age Limits (as of 01 August 2025):

• Minimum Age:
  • 18 Years for DEO / LDC
  • 21 Years for Stenographer / Personal Assistant
• Maximum Age:
  • 37 Years for General/EWS Male
  • 40 Years for General/EWS Female
  • 40 Years for BC/EBC Male & Female
  • 42 Years for SC/ST Male & Female

Age relaxation is provided as per Bihar Vidhan Parishad regulations.

Post-wise Educational Qualification and Other Criteria:

• Personal Assistant (PA): Candidates must hold a graduate degree with a Hindi Stenography speed of 100 w.p.m. and Hindi/English typing speed of 30 w.p.m. A computer certificate from AICTE/DOEACC/NIELIT or an ‘O’ Level equivalent is desirable. The pay scale for this position is Level-07 (₹44,900–1,42,400).
• Data Entry Operator (DEO): Applicants need an Intermediate (10+2) qualification with a typing speed of 8000 key-depressions per hour. A computer certificate like ADCA or one from AICTE/DOEACC/NIELIT (‘O’ Level) is desirable. The pay scale is Level-04 (₹25,500–81,100).
• Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Candidates must have an Intermediate (10+2) qualification with Hindi/English typing speed of 30 w.p.m. A computer certificate from AICTE/DOEACC/NIELIT or ‘O’ Level is desirable. The pay scale is Level-02 (₹19,900–63,200).
• Stenographer: A graduate degree is required along with a Hindi Stenography speed of 80 w.p.m. and Hindi/English typing speed of 30 w.p.m. A computer certificate from AICTE/DOEACC/NIELIT or ‘O’ Level is desirable. The pay scale is Level-04 (₹25,500–81,100).
