Eligibility

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 17.5 and 22 years of age. Specifically, candidates should have been born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable as per Indian Air Force rules.

Educational Qualification

  • For Science Subjects: Applicants must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Alternatively, candidates could hold a 3-year Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English, or have completed a 2-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics (as non-vocational subjects) from a recognized board, achieving 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
  • For Other Than Science Subjects: Candidates needed to have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, or completed a 2-year vocational course with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

Medical Standards / Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  • Minimum Height: Male: 152.5 cm; Female: 152 cm. For candidates from North East/Hilly Areas: 147 cm. For candidates from Lakshadweep: 150 cm.
  • Chest (Male): 77 cm with an expansion of 05 cm.
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
  • Running: Male: 1.6 km in 07 minutes; Female: 1.6 km in 08 minutes.
  • Push-ups (Male): 10 in 01 minute.
  • Sit-ups: Male: 10 in 01 minute; Female: 10 in 01 minute 30 seconds.
  • Squats: Male: 20 in 01 minute; Female: 15 in 01 minute.

Selection Process

The selection for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 comprises three phases:

  1. Phase I: Online Test
  2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Adaptability Tests I & II
  3. Phase III: Medical Examination
