Eligibility
Candidates applying for Assistant Teacher posts must possess a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution in India, along with a graduation degree in the relevant subject as specified below:
- Hindi: Graduation with Hindi as a subject, Sanskrit at intermediate level or Uttar Madhyama exam from UP Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad.
- English: Graduation in English Literature.
- Maths: Graduation with Mathematics as a subject.
- Science: Graduation with Physics and Chemistry as subjects.
- Social Science: Graduation with at least two subjects from History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics.
- Computer: B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, OR a graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications, OR a graduation with 'A' Level certification from NIELIT, OR B.Tech in Computer Science and MCA. B.Ed. is a preferential qualification.
- Urdu: Graduation with Urdu as a subject.
- Biology: Graduation with Zoology and Botany as subjects.
- Sanskrit: Graduation with Sanskrit as a subject.
- Arts: Graduation with Art as a subject along with a B.Ed. degree, or a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (BFA) with a B.Ed. degree. B.Ed. is a preferential qualification.
- Music: Graduation with Music as a subject, or Sangeet Visharad from Bhatkhande Sangeet Mahavidyalaya or Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, along with a graduation degree. Additionally, a B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE is required.
- Commerce: Graduation in Commerce.
- Physical Education: Graduation degree and a B.P.Ed. or B.P.E. degree in an NCTE-approved course.
- Home Science: Graduation with Home Science as a subject.
- Agriculture / Horticulture (Male): Graduation in Agriculture or Horticulture.
