Eligibility
The age limits for these positions will be determined as of October 2, 2026. Both minimum and maximum age criteria are specific to each post and applicants should refer to the official notification for detailed age relaxation rules as per UPSC regulations.
The educational qualifications and experience required for each post are as follows:
- Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Anatomy): Candidates must hold an MD, MS, or DNB in Anatomy, or an M.Sc. in Anatomy combined with a Ph.D. or D.Sc. degree, along with 03 years of relevant work experience.
- Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (General Medicine): Applicants should have an MBBS degree along with an MD or DNB qualification in Medicine / General Medicine, and 03 years of relevant work experience.
- Assistant Editor: A Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Mass Communication is required. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, or English, who also possess a Diploma of at least one year in Journalism or Mass Communication, are eligible. 03 years of relevant work experience is also mandatory.
- Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Anesthesiology: Candidates need an MBBS degree along with an MD, MS, DA, or FFARCS qualification in the relevant field, plus relevant work experience.
- Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) – Pediatrics: An MBBS degree along with an MD or Diploma in Pediatrics from a recognized institution is required, in addition to relevant work experience.
- Assistant Public Prosecutor: Applicants must possess a Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution and 03 years of experience practicing at the Bar.
- Public Law Officer / District Litigation Officer / Law Officer: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution is essential. Candidates also need 02 years of experience practicing at the Bar and must possess Ladakh Domicile.
